By 31March 2008, Singtel would cease their Internet Dial-up services. While it means nothing for most of us, I do know of people still using the Dial-up connection. It is true that broadband is getting really cheap, it is entirely untrue that existing Dial-up customers should take up this faster connection. For example, the current Dial-up users pay few dollars a month for the internet connection, largely use to check their e-mails.
After the closure of the service, they are going to pay 30 dollars minimum to get a home Internet connection. With Starhub already abandon the Dial-up, it seems that Pacific Internet will be the sole operator soon.
